This is a petition to get the state of Hawaii to begin planning a migration to Google Apps for email, calendaring and, where appropriate, document management. The city of Los Angeles is in the process of making this change with predicted short term savings of $13.8M along with an expected increase in productivity due to reduced downtime and better usability. Lets save the state millions in IT expenses and get our kids back in school on Fridays!
