Year after year Congress borrows more money and spends all that it borrows; and year after year they vote to increase our national debt limit. It’s like being able to increase your credit limit after you’ve maxed out your credit cards – regardless of whether or not you’ve been paying your bill.

Now we’re borrowing money to make payments on the money we’ve borrowed. That’s called insolvency, and it’s where we’re headed if we don’t change course. Now.

Whether Republican or Democrat, Congress has shown no ability to live within its means. The ONLY solution is to amend our Constitution to REQUIRE Congress to balance the budget.
