AktNow campaigns now run on Facebook!

We've recently added a tremendous new tool to AktNow's campaign arsenal.  In a word, Facebook.

Facebook is the virtual definition of "web 2.0", and it provides a tremendous opportunity for anyone deliver their message to an extremely connected audience and get them engaged.

Any campaign created on AktNow now also runs simultaneously on Facebook as well via our new Facebook application.  This means that if you're on Facebook, you can add your campaign (or any campaign on AktNow) to your own Facebook profile (or page).

It also means that your friends can support your campaign in Facebook, "join" a campaign just as you would join a Facebook group, and automatically update your Facebook status whenever you sign a petition or take other important actions in support of a campaign.

And since each AktNow campaign comes with its own discussion board, there's no need to create a Facebook "group" about a campaign, since you get the same benefit from any AktNow campaign running our our application.

Below is an example of an existing sample AktNow campaign running on a Facebook fan page (on our "Take Aktion!" tab).

Simply click the blue "Go to Application" button in the upper left corner of the AktNow application page, then click "allow" to give it permission to run on your Facebook profile.  You can then add it as a "tab" on your profile.  (See the example below)

The application will show a list of all the campaigns you support.  For "fan pages", you can select a specific campaign to appear as the default view for that tab.
